The objective of this laser treatment is to cause controlled damage to the tissue in order to remodel the surface and at the same time exploit dermal and epidermal tissue regeneration capabilities and collagen remodeling. This treatment is helpful in addressing abnormal color and texture in order to improve the appearance of scars. The treatment is performed in 3 simple steps:
Step 1: Conditioning- An Nd: YAG beam is passed along the surface twice. The first pass provides a short stimulus to the skin, the second pass penetrates the tissue, causing deep FRAC3® heating and conditioning the skin for an effective fractional treatment therapy.
Step 2: Fractional therapy-Old, worn-out skin is ablated away by a fractional Er:YAG laser. The laser penetrates the skin and creates precise micro-ablated channels that will be replaced with new, tighter and healthy tissue as new skin forms.
Step 3: Peeling- The laser light gently ablates the skins superficial layer with the Er:YAG beam. This finishes the treatment and removes superficial imperfections revealing healthier stunning skin underneath.
